Bitter and Sweet: A Family’s Journey with Cancer, is a true story that unfolded in our lives.  In our forties, my husband, Tim, and I lived a pretty typical American life — working, raising a family, tending to our home, having too much to do and not enough time to do it.  Without warning, Tim was suddenly diagnosed with stage IV gallbladder cancer.

Bitter and Sweet is about the journey we chose to take, making our saga public.  It was the most difficult five months of our lives, but the most tender and miraculous time as well.
